“In this collection, award-wining poet Lorraine Marwood provides snapshots of everyday family life: the fun of a beach holiday, raiding the fridge after school, fighting over whose turn it is to do the dishes, camping in the backyard and much more. Marwood’s poetry is full of warmth, fun and humour.”
Suitable for readers Primary school and upwards
I had fun writing poems, this time about daily family life. An ordinary trip to the supermarket can become a subject for poetry- truly! I delved into my own family’s experience and wrote and wrote. Not every experience can be tweaked and cajoled into poetry and some poems can convey much in a few lines. The title poem is dedicated to my sixth child!
